All client information is treated as strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties except where required by law, where there is a serious and credible risk of harm, where necessary for insurance or legal defence, or with secure payment processors for payment purposes.
7. Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely via Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. Energy by Kristina does not store full card details. Stripe acts as an independent data controller for payment processing.
8. Data Storage and Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are implemented to protect your personal data. Digital records are stored within password protected systems and access is restricted solely to Kristina Michaels. Physical records, if any, are securely stored. While appropriate safeguards are taken, no system can guarantee absolute security. In the unlikely event of a data breach posing a risk to your rights and freedoms, appropriate notification will be made in accordance with UK GDPR.
9. Data Retention
Enquiry data may be retained for up to 12 months. Client records may be retained for up to 7 years in accordance with insurance and professional practice requirements. Data is securely deleted when no longer required.
10. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access your personal data, request correction, request erasure, restrict processing, object to processing and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office at www.ico.org.uk. Requests may be submitted via email.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Nature of Services
Reiki and Japanese energy work are complementary wellbeing practices. They do not constitute medical, psychological or psychiatric treatment. No diagnosis is provided. Clients acknowledge that outcomes vary and no specific results are guaranteed. Clients remain responsible for seeking appropriate medical advice and continuing any medical treatment.
2. Booking and Payment
Full payment is required in advance to secure a session. No booking is confirmed until payment has been received. Programme agreements are binding for the agreed term. Programme fees are non refundable once commenced unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling
A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to reschedule a session. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice may be charged in full. Programme sessions must be used within the agreed timeframe unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Client Responsibility
Clients agree to provide accurate and honest information, inform Kristina of relevant health considerations and take responsibility for their personal wellbeing decisions. Between session communication is provided within reasonable limits and at the practitioner’s discretion.
5. In Home Sessions and Safety
For in home sessions, clients confirm that the premises are safe and appropriate. Energy by Kristina reserves the right to terminate or immediately leave a session if safety concerns arise. In such circumstances, the session fee remains payable.
6. Refusal or Termination of Services
Services may be declined or discontinued at the practitioner’s discretion. Where appropriate, any refund will be determined reasonably.
7. Force Majeure
Energy by Kristina shall not be liable for failure to perform services where such failure results from events beyond reasonable control.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Energy by Kristina shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or special losses arising from services provided. Nothing in these terms excludes liability where unlawful to exclude.
9. Intellectual Property
All written content, materials and branding remain the intellectual property of Kristina Michaels.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
